[hewwo... over at the storybook cafe, chiemi is at the counter to order something. she seems to be deep in thought, before she. abruptly starts crying?
though for the record she looks as baffled about this as anyone else does probably, wiping away at her eyes.]
I think the whole being abducted thing’s a huge thing to complain about, personally. Maybe there’s somewhere to do it officially, to someone who’ll pretend to listen and do something about it.
I'll keep that in mind if I want to get any mundane studying in...
[she's going to fail school when she returns at this rate wow]
Kind of. I was pretty busy back in college, and recently I've been back home on break, and my hometown is more of a village. In the middle of nowhere. [a beat] Not big on hanging out?
We might not have looked hard enough but... you'd think a city's history would be easy to uncover? Founding dates, historical events, who was in charge...
[ nada. ]
Until we get put to work with whatever we got dragged here for, you mean?
… Yeah, I’m suddenly really glad Ryuki didn’t become a lawyer. [ not that he planned to. or she’d be here now if he did. ] If I see another trial again, ever, it’ll be too soon.
That would be a surprise. I'm pretty sure this job is all he's really wanted to do. [ ryuki would be so bullied as a lawyer. rip. ]
Well... we were kind of in the middle of something when we got dragged here. I have no idea how it's going to turn out, now time isn't frozen like it was before. [ yikes ] It might be ... okay for Ryuki though. I think.
It’s just the nature of our job. [ play aini ] Uh, well. With the leader’s powers gone, time’s moving again. A week might complicate things, but we weren’t wholly investigating on our own. I just… I’m just gonna have to hope they can pick up the slack.
[ she can definitely cover for them being missing, but there are other factors she’s concerned about. ]
Oh I’m always fine. I’m just interloping most of the time, he’s doing all the hard work.

What about you? Does this change in our home situation change anything for you as well?
week 0, monday

It was pretty spontaneous, even for allergies.
[ hang on, she's swiping some napkins from one of the tables and handing them over. ] You sure everything okay?
no subject
Yup, yup! I've got nothing to complain about. I mean, I guess aside from the whole "being abducted" thing.

In the meantime, as far as captivity goes, this place is pretty neat! I haven't been to a cafe in, like, forever.

Too busy for them? There are cafes all around where I’m from, but I haven’t personally been in any of them.

[ who needs school amirite? ]
Not… not big on it, but I guess like you I was too busy to really think about turning it into a hobby or anything like that.

[hmmmmm]
Well, think of this as a chance to unwind for a bit, I guess?

It’s been a while.

It sure has. How have you been, Tama-san?
no subject
Wow, that's a good question.
no subject
Yeah, I figured it might be, uh, hard to answer. It's been a lot, huh?
no subject
Yeah.
I think I want to take an eight week nap.

Mm, I guess. I really missed eating anything besides cafeteria food... though I sure don't envy having had to do trials every week.
