Well, our iconic dish is probably shishinare. It's fermented game meat—and both fermented foods and game meat can already be pretty new to people, let alone both at the same time.
But yeah, it's got the kind of flavour where a lot of people who try it for the first time don't know if they can call it "good", but you develop a taste for it, y'know?
